POLE WINNER AT DAYTONA

DALE EARNHARDT, THE 1996 DAYTONA 500 POLE WINNER

Years ago, a friend of mine and I were trying to remember who won the 1996 Daytona 500 pole. We couldn't remember, so we decided it had to be a nobody.

I looked him up; it was Dale Earnhardt. Not a nobody.
