WE'RE STILL BABIES

I think this was late in 1993. While doing a story for Winston Cup Scene, I asked Jeff and Ward Burton if they felt like veterans now that their rookie season was almost over.

Jeff said, "No, compared to (Dale) Earnhardt, we're still babies" (as drivers).

He was probably right, but it surprised me a little bit that he'd say it.
